Robots That Vacuum and Mop Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one time, without having to switch between devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces. A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them. 1. Eufy S1 Pro It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all. The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. best budget robot vacuum spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room. You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided. A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that must be completed including emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution. Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss. The Roborock model, like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat. This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-filling. The only issue I encountered in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash manually. I've observed that any soft carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches. The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise. 3. It also lets the robot to reach under low-profile furniture making it an ideal choice for small apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice addition that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement. L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has several features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a useful method to keep your home clean for longer. There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are numerous features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of using a manual setting. The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
